Hotel Review: Crowne Plaza St. Louis Airport
I stayed in Crowne Plaza - St. Louis Airport twice when I was in St. Louis, Missouri - for five weeks the first time I was there, and for two weeks on my second trip to the city.
Rooms
I usually get the room with the queen-sized bed, non-smoking. You can specify if you want a room facing the atrium and the pool (the kids can get noisy), or facing the interstate. Rooms come with bath tubs, television with cable, a writing desk, an electronic safe, a CD player and alarm, and a coffee maker.
The decor of the room is somewhat dated but I don't really have gripes about it. The television is a CRT though.
Amenities
Amenities include a gym, pool and jacuzzi at the lower ground level, a business center, same-day laundry and access to the executive lounge, which opens in the afternoon until evening. There are free food and drinks in the executive lounge, and you can chill out there having a light snacks while watching your favorite sports team.
There's a small fitness center near the pool area, and it is open from 5 am to 10pm. The number and variety of equipment is not that extensive but enough for you to keep your regimen going.

There are vending machines in every floor where you can buy bottled water, soda and snacks. Be sure to have small change though.
The hotel provides free shuttle service to and from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. You may request the shuttle to ferry you to any destination within five mile radius for free. Customarily, a gratuity is given to the driver of the shuttle. The airport has a Metrolink station that goes all the way to downtown, so what I usually do is have the shuttle bring me to the airport and I take the Metrolink from there.
Bar/Restaurants
There is a Friday's restaurant located inside the hotel, where you can get lunch, dinner and drinks, from 11am to 1am. There is another restaurant called Clouds, located in the atrium, but this is only open during breakfast. A buffet breakfast in Clouds costs about $12. If you want to chill out after work you may sit back at the Atrium Lounge and ask the bartender to have it shaken, not stirred.
Stores such as Schnuck's, Walmart and Target are located within 3 miles of the hotel. There is also an IHOP and a Mexican diner nearby.

Staff
The staff is friendly and efficient. I usually ask for assistance from them to arrange transportation, or to watch out for packages from Amazon. The shuttle drivers are also the staff that I frequently interact with, since I often request to be shuttled to the office (it's ten miles or so away, but they accomodate me if there's an available shuttle).
Housekeeping is done daily. The sheets are replaced every few days, but you can request for fresh ones if you just had a wild Friday night or something.
